A Detailed Look
The steel enclosure of the Cooler Master V Series 850W power supply features a black-matte, scratch-resistant finish and measures 170mm (6.7”) long, which is nice and compact for a 850W power supply.
The V850W PSU uses a single 135mm fan (Protechnic MGA13512XF-025) on the bottom for cooling (0.38A @ 12 VDC).
This is an excellent fan that incorporates a Fluid Dynamic Bearing for very quiet operation and long life.

The backside panel includes a power receptacle and On-Off switch along with an open grill structure that allows air to exhaust out of the power supply with minimal restriction and turbulence.
Around on the front side, the V Series 850W PSU incorporates 13 sockets to power all the modular cables. The 24-pin ATX motherboard cable uses two sockets, all of which are nicely labeled.
The V850 PSU comes with a good assortment of ten modular cables, which are the flat, ribbon style for easy cable management (except the 24-pin ATX cable, which is sleeved). The three PCI-E cables each have two PCI-E connectors attached in parallel, which is probably fine for most applications but we still like to see a dedicated cable for each connector for high-end applications. And for some users, a second EPS cable/connector would be nice. The following tables list the lengths of each cable and the number of included connectors.
