Back during CES we saw several teasers showing off the MSI GS70 STEALTH gaming laptop and now we finally have a review thanks to Hardware Secrets. The insane specs of this machine mean that the power cord is rated at 120W although at a hair under 6lbs it is surprisingly light. If you can afford the price tag this is a serious contender for the most powerful gaming laptop currently available, barring some that have opted for SLI graphics.
"The MSI GS70 STEALTH is a gaming laptop computer with a fourth-generation Core i7-4700HQ processor, 16 GiB of RAM, 17" Full HD screen, two SSD units in RAID 0, a GeForce GTX 765M video card, high-end Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi controllers, and much more. Let's analyze this powerful machine."

An 860m update would make this better.
… Is this a paid marketing
… Is this a paid marketing piece? This is nowhere near a serious contender for most powerful laptop, there are at least four more powerful single gpus and two more powerful cpus (maybe more but I don’t know them off the top of my head).
Err…this is last year’s
Err…this is last year’s model..there’s a new one with an 870M AND an 860M already available. Was this posted accidentally or..?
I thought it was the most
I thought it was the most interesting of the mobile reviews I had in the queue currently … sure it is not the utterly newest spiffy thing out there but we have never received one to review … so it seemed worth slapping up.
Figured I’d register before I
Figured I’d register before I replied – not hating on the review at all, but genuinely thought it was posted accidentally – from the looks of it I’m not the only one..lol

Yea, I have a GS70 with the same spec… this has to be a mis-post. (great laptop btw, but… hard to find a bag for)
Odd, just posted my bash post
Odd, just posted my bash post in the wrong spot:
Stay away from MSI products. Just received my money back for the 2nd gen 3K display. The backbleed was the worst I’ve ever seen. 25% of the screen could not go dark. MSI said this was expected.
Triple SSD, triple monitor support were features that other brands didn’t have. Am super happy with an Alienware now. Much better built, software and considerably more quiet.
I’ll never touch their products again!
Wow..surprising…I
Wow..surprising…I researched a TON myself before finally getting the Alienware. I was interested in the 18 but unfortunately it wasn’t available (at a sane price) here in Malaysia. Ended up getting a specced-up version of the 17 for a (relative) bargain so I’m happy!
Disappointing about the 2k screen – I was *hoping* to hold out until they stuck a 2k (or greater) screen onto an Alienware but couldn’t last that long. Figured I’d rather upgrade in a couple of years by the time they have capable mobile graphics cards that can actually power gaming at decent frames.
