Crysis 3 is still one of the most demanding PC titles on graphics hardware and the Radeon R9 295X2 shines. At 2560×1440 and maximum image quality settings, the dual-GPU card from AMD is able to push out 51 FPS on average, a small jump of 4-5% over the GTX 780 Ti cards in SLI. In terms of frame rate consistency, the NVIDIA SLI solution is actually better with Crysis 3 than AMD CrossFire appears to be, though both perform very well.

The performance advantage at 4K is much higher for AMD here – 17% better average frame rates are seen, keeping Crysis 3 running over 25 FPS nearly the whole time. Both multi-GPU solutions are very consistent as well with minimal frame time variances that would lead to stutter or unsmooth gameplay.
