The results for GRID 2 at 2560×1440 look a lot like the test results we found in Battlefield 4 but reversed – both the Radeon R9 295X2 and the pair of GeForce GTX 780 Ti cards perform very well in average frame rates, but the NVIDIA solution has less frame time variance. A look at the Frame Times graph clearly shows that the R9 295X2 (in black) changes frame times more dramatically than the pair of GeForce GTX 780 Ti does.

At 3840×2160 though this changes around – now the AMD Radeon R9 295X2 is outputting frames at nearly the same consistency (smoothness) but is also doing so at a faster rate. While the R9 295X2 is able to push out 90 FPS on average, the GTX 780 Ti cards can muster just 75 FPS – a 20% advantage for AMD.
