The NCASE M1 – that impossibly small crowdfunded Mini-ITX case – is now available for pre-order at the company’s website in both silver and black styles, and it will set those of us in the U.S. back $185 plus shipping and import charges (they are being shipped directly from Taiwan upon fulfillment).
Ah yes, that famous Coke can photo…
Those who have had the privilege of hands-on experience with this micro-sized enclosure (myself included) come away highly impressed with not only its impossibly diminutive size compared to the component options, but to the high build quality as well. Manufactured by Lian Li, it is of all-aluminum construction and very lightweight.
Our review of the case here at PC Perspective showcases some of the build options to give a prospective buyer ideas about the flexibility of the design, but the “no compromises” approach with the M1 does command quite an investment for an enclosure. Still, if you’re looking at an ultimate-level Mini-ITX system and don’t mind spending some of that hard-earned green (on an already expensive form-factor, let's not forget), you’d be hard pressed to find a better option at this size.

I ordered one. I’m planning on doing a broadwell build with it. 😀

Nice Case, for your next
Nice Case, for your next project something like the size of a Mac Mini that can run on battery power/low power mode with the fan not running, and In plugged in mode like it is a mini desktop. With the ability to have a discrete GPU, and use the this GPU when operating in the plugged in mode. The system OS(Full Linux based) able to run the APU/SOC like a mobile laptop/device and out of the Box configured and paired with a Tablet, that utilizes the portable mini Mobile/mini-Desktop as a headless server, the remote desktop run from the Tablet. The tablet also running a Full Linux light weight distro. Give the Portable/Mini-desktop the fastest Wi-Fi available, dual gigabit Ethernet for when it is being used as a desktop, or where there is a Ethernet plug available. This paired device Mini-Headless portable server and tablet could be used like a laptop when traveling the tablet acting as the screen and able to share computing resources with the Mini-headless portable server part.
A device like this could be made from existing off the shelf parts, and be completely upgradable(the Mini-headless server portion), and should be able to be paired with any Tablet with some client/VPN software, should users already have a tablet. The paired Tablet/Mini-headless server, could also come with an optional mobile keyboard for the tablet portion, that also can be plugged into the portable-Mini-headless-server(PMHS) unit directly, the PMHS able to directly connect to TV/Monitors via the standard VGA/HDMI/other cables, or wirelessly.
The future is not a surface tablet like device, but a paired Tablet/Portable battery/plug powered mini headless server that can become a mini desktop with access to a electrical plug in power source, and pairs with any tablet wirelessly for a Full laptop like workloads when traveling and mini desktop workloads when plugged in.
Make something like this And STFU and Take MY money!

So there was this thread on Hardforums about (i.e. advertizing) someone’s etsy project to make a carrying duffel for this case. It looked both cool and expensive.
