Skyrim
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (DirectX 9)
The Empire of Tamriel is on the edge. The High King of Skyrim has been murdered.
Alliances form as claims to the throne are made. In the midst of this conflict, a far more dangerous, ancient evil is awakened. Dragons, long lost to the passages of the Elder Scrolls, have returned to Tamriel.
The future of Skyrim, even the Empire itself, hangs in the balance as they wait for the prophesized Dragonborn to come; a hero born with the power of The Voice, and the only one who can stand amongst the dragons.
Our settings for Skyrim
Here is a video our testing run through, for your reference
DirectX 9 lives! Skyrim runs more than fast enough on both of the cards here, even at 25×14 and the Ultra preset, hitting about 122 FPS with the GTX 780 Ti and 135 FPS with the MSI R9 290X Lightning!
You will soon incur the wrath
You will soon incur the wrath of the fanboy for pitting a custom card vs reference.
Duck for cover!Nice review, ty
Yeah, it’s an easy knock, but
Yeah, it's an easy knock, but so little of the decision on this card has anything to do with the "stock" performance.
With that kind of noise level
With that kind of noise level despite the massive cooler, it should be able to handle more than +100mv.
Some other reviewers got the memory very high on the Lightning; any luck with that on your card?
Ryan, thoughts on the XFX R9
Ryan, thoughts on the XFX R9 290X DD? for $4** on TD this makes choosing the MSI pretty difficult. Although slightly slower, the price difference makes it very appealing! The 780Ti is definitely out of the picture until a price drop happens.
You should ask for a new bios
You should ask for a new bios from msi. You cant control fan speed with 14.x drivers and that affects overclocking because all amd gpus are temp limited.
Well something is missing so
Well something is missing so I’ll fill this in. Bla bla bla fanboy, bla bla bla nvidia, durka durka AMD. Yackety yakety Iris pro, schmackity rakety you are all fools, clearly bla bla bla is better, and yada yada is shit!
There, now it feels like a video card review comments section.
