Im interested in the MSI
Im interested in the MSI gaming X99S XPOWER AC with the built in streaming hardware.
My concern is is it H264 which is inferior to x264 in quality. i have seen numerous times on twitch streams when someone is using their Avermdeia as the encoder instead of their cpu having issues with achieving a quality stream
. I know upload speed is also a big factor but lets assume a maxed upload for twitch of 3500 kbs/s since they dont allow non partners past that limit.
im concerned about the quality of the live stream at the viewers end using the h264 encoder on the MB and not the cpu and x264..
CAN I GET MORE FROM 167 MHz
CAN I GET MORE FROM 167 MHz ?
WITH 167 MHz WHAT I GET ? 4.5/4.6 GH ?
What are you trying to say?
What are you trying to say? Please rethink and do over…
In my opinion most people
In my opinion most people would do better spending the money they would on hardware for streaming on a better CPU and using OBS (Open Broadcaster Software, which is a well supported, powerful, and totally free program). In this day and age dedicated hardware is not required. (By “better” I mean getting at least an i5 4670, which I have used to stream @ 1080p successfully. More is better, but you don’t need to buy that 8-core Haswell-E beast. 🙂 )
And, for me, OBS is an excellent solution because it allows me to play at the resolution I want and stream at a lower resolution more suitable for sites like Twitch. A lot of hardware/software solutions don’t allow that.
MSI is a great company and I always consider their offerings, but added streaming capabilities built into the mainboard isn’t a selling point for me.
