UPDATE: If you missed the live stream with myself and Jacob, you can catch the entire event in the video below. You won't want to miss out on seeing the first ever GTX 980 water block as well as announcements on new Torq mice!
EVGA has been a busy company recently. It has continued to innovate with new coolers for the recent GTX 980 and GTX 970 card releases, newer power supplies offer unique features and improved quality and power output, a new line of X99 chipset motherboards including a Micro ATX variant and hey, the company even released a line of high-performance mice this year! PC Perspective has covered basically all of these releases (and will continue to do so with pending GPU and MB reviews) but there is a lot that needs explaining.
To help out, an industry and community favorite will be stopping by from EVGA to the PC Perspective offices: Jacob Freeman. You might know him as @EVGA_JacobF on Twitter or have seen him on countless forums, but he will making an in-person appearance on Friday, September 26th on PC Perspective Live! We plan on discussing the brand new ACX 2.0 cooler on the Maxwell GPUs released last week, go over some of highlights of the new X99 motherboards and even touch on power supplies and the Torq mice line as well.

I would like to know what
I would like to know what features EVGA is pushing on these motherboards to warrant their price tag. With similar boards from other companies with seemingly more features selling for a smaller premium. Is it the fabulous CMOS Battery placement?
Honestly, hardly any consumer
Honestly, hardly any consumer / gamer grade board I can think of makes sense to be priced much over 150, ever.. (My dumb opinion of course)
What do you get extra? A nicer colour printed board with nice flashy bright plastic header adapters and a nicer logo in display somewhere. Haha.
Lately I’ve been finding a lot of those for even under 100 so..
I guess if you need to do crossfire/sli I’d pay more than 150 for one… Or I required heavy OCing, got a nice cpu for free… If a sale wasn’t going on.
I do wish I could afford to put EVAG in all my builds exclusively TBH. I’ve been having great luck with their refurb’d GPUs but I can’t see myself shelling out that extra premium just for their name.
The Prizes, how to pay for
The Prizes, how to pay for the Prizes, Everyone knows who really pays for the prizes, it’s the non winners of the prizes, and not EVGA.
I’ll be there with bells on.
I’ll be there with bells on.
Anyone know if the 980 or 970
Anyone know if the 980 or 970 or both or neither have the outputs and logic necessary to support adaptive sync panels? I keep seeing dp1.2 in specs, but nothing about 1.2a or certainly not 1.3. I really want to pick one of these up, but not if they do not support both adaptive sync and g-sync. Thanks in advance?

Kind of sleezy to be selling a 3 pipe cooler when 1 of the pipes is just for show/marketing. Is this going to be fixed for current buyer and future ones ?
There is a discussion over at
There is a discussion over at overclock.net about it.
[eteknix] Possible Design Flaw In EVGA GTX 970?

I am interested as well to understand the purpose of such a heatsink design. I wasn’t satisfied with the response given to eteknix.
When will be released the GTX
When will be released the GTX 980 Classified model?
And will it be better than
And will it be better than the g1 980?
I’ll be here to claim my gtx
I’ll be here to claim my gtx 980 sc. Lol.
Could the X99 Micro be
Could the X99 Micro be updated so that it could run SLI with one card in the top slot and the second card in the bottom slot?
This would free up the middle slot for something useful like a sound card and give room for the top card to pull in fresh air.

Will evga ever consider
Will evga ever consider getting into amd motherboards or graphic cards? What is the liklihood of that happening?
I hope you ask EVGA about the
I hope you ask EVGA about the 980 and 970 ACX coolers which are performing poorly compared to the competition, Recycled from last gen? Under developed?
Usually evga best newegg
Usually evga best newegg reviews but all acx 2.0 cards have bad reviews
@nashthedog Perhaps others
@nashthedog Perhaps others just got better at cooling design? Good question though.
I would like more details
I would like more details about the performance mice.
Will there be more ergonomic designs in the future?
What about vertical designs?
Are the torq models pretty large for big hands?
What about wireless designs? (e.i. gaming on 60″ TV)
So far, there has been only 1 mouse design which could be better and bigger, but acceptable and it’s by logictech.

Any chance of EVGA bringing
Any chance of EVGA bringing out a line of ddr4 ram.
I would like to know how long
I would like to know how long it took EVGA to design the ACX 2.0 from the conception of ACX 2.0 to the final version of this cooler…. you can say a look behind the scenes
Do You plan to release new
Do You plan to release new EVGA case any time soon ?
Are there any plans on
Are there any plans on updating the EVGA Hadron case?
Personally, I would like to see 2 things in the new revision.
1) rotating the motherboard layout such that the video card is intaking air from above.
2) Positive air-pressure setup with filters to keep the inside dust-free.
I love what you guys have been doing for the last 2 years. In the past I never looked at evga products but now with the acx coolers, and hadron case. They are on my list of potential purchases. Keep it up.
What’s unusual may ACX 2.0
What’s unusual may ACX 2.0 cooler? Both propeller spinning in different directions for example?

A few questions for you
A few questions for you Jacob:
-what RAM overclocks are currently supported on your X99 boards?
-how many power phase vrm is on the X99 FTW?
-can u put a video on the EVGA youtube channel on overclocking with the Elite X Tuning Utility?
I like the addition of the I/O cover, right angle connectors, and PCIe lane DIP switches, and multiple M.2 slots on the classified board. I felt you stuck a good balance between the number of USB 2.0 to USB 3.0 ports.
Thanks you Jacob and pcper team!
