With their X99S Gaming 9 AC board, MSI did not bundle in their Command Center application, instead opting to install the applets individually. The Super Charger applet allows the user to fast-charge USB devices from the board's USB ports. The Sound Blaster Cinema 2 and Killer Network Manager applets are for controlling aspects of their targeted components (the audio and the networking subsystems respectively). Live Update 6 give the user a Windows-based interface for BIOS backup and update. The Smart Utilities combines the Intel Rapid Start Technology, Smart Response Technology, and Smart Connect Technology utilities into a single user interface for easy user configuration of the Intel-related board functionality. The MSI Gaming App gives the user a slimmed-down interface with which to control system CPU and fan speeds via a number of pre-set profiles. The ECO Center applet houses settings for controlling board component power usage. The Xsplit Gamecaster utility can be used to create in-game recordings and live streams, working in tandem with the integrated MSI Streaming Engine hardware to minimize the effect of streaming on system performance.
Intel Extreme Tuning Utility
The MSI branded Intel Extreme Tuning Utility is an application providing board and subsystem level information about the CPU and memory speeds, allowing for both automated and manual based overclocking of the board. Additionally, multiple stress tests are integrated into the application for settings testing as well as area to save and retrieve settings profiles.

MSI Gaming App
The MSI Gaming App utility is a simplified interface for changing your system's CPU and fan speeds based on three available pre-sets – OC Mode, Gaming Mode, and Silent Mode. Changes are enacted upon clicking on one of the Mode buttons in the interface.

Killer Network Manager
The Killer Network Manager applet provides the user with settings and monitoring tools for configuring the on-board Killer NIC adapter for optimal use. The Performance and Killer Ethernet screens show network statistics for the network adapter, while the Applications and Network pages give the user control over adapter operation and application based traffic prioritization.

its a great looking board.
its a great looking board. strong contender for when i upgrade out of this z97 asus maximus vii formula
I’m sure this is a great
I’m sure this is a great board otherwise, I’m an MSI fan, but the inclusion of the streaming hardware is simply unnecessary – in fact it is limiting if you want to stream at higher than 1920×1080, and may even force you to play at that resolution. In the PC gaming world, where 2560×1440 is not at all uncommon and some are beginning to use 3840×2160, that is just unacceptable.
The least powerful CPU that will be plugged into this board is more than capable of handling any streaming you want to do all by itself using a (totally free) application. OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) is a great tool with a high amount of flexibility I have used to stream on an i5-4670K clocked at a mild 4.2GHz. That CPU is more than capable, and so is OBS. A Haswell-E chip wouldn’t even blink.
Wheres all the AMD boards?

Ok people I have a question
Ok people I have a question for anyone that is able to answer this concerning the motherboard
I’m currently building a Monster Next Gen PC using this motherboard, but the build theme for my build is Black/Blue

My question is what are the Red Area’s of the motherboard made out of?, as I may need to alter the color of the accents to match my theme.
Also are these sections some type of anodized metal? or is this simply plastic components requiring nothing more than a simple paint job.
Any Info would be much appreciated.
Thx;)
