Metro: Last Light

Metro: Last Light (DirectX 11)

Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within.

Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the ultimate power, a doomsday device from the military vaults of D6. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever.

As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour…

Our Settings for Metro: Last Light

Well this is starting to be a habitual thing…2-Way SLI scales pretty well, going from 57.6 FPS on average to 86.1 FPS, a 50% improvement. And it scales with only a very minimal impact on frame time variance and smoothness – 2-Way SLI is still a great experience on Metro: Last Light. However, adding in a third or fourth card results in basically no more scaling opportunity, though there also are not any regressions in frame rate or smoothness, which is surprising.

At 4K the overall results are the same, with only 2-Way SLI actually showing any kind of performance improvement. Adding in a 2nd GTX 980 card gives users another 60% performance to use at the Very High image quality presets.
