Test Setup and Errata

I tested this board against the Gigabyte G1.Sniper.A88X and the MSI A88X G45 Gaming products.  I did not use an add-in graphics card; rather I let the APU do the talking when it came to graphics performance.  By doing it this way we will see if there are any issues with the memory subsystem of these boards.

There are three amplification states that can be applied to the front port, depending on user preference and headphone impedence.

I used 2 x 4 GB of Radeon branded memory.  These are DDR-3 2133 rated parts.  The latest Kaveri APUs and motherboard allow for DDR-3 2400 speeds for memory that can support those settings.  Faster memory will improve graphics performance in the 2% to 3% range.  That may or may not be apparent to someone actually using the machine.  For now we are staying with the more affordable 2133 parts.

The SupremeFX application has many different tabs that allows for near infinite customization of personal audio.  Note the four presets based on different gaming types.
