   I have a corsair k70, blue
   I have a corsair k70, blue LEDs, and I was surprised by the bad quality of the LEDs, after a couple of months some LEDs died. Is the RGB any better?

     I had a Corsair K70 with blue
     I had a Corsair K70 with blue LEDs that also experienced dead LEDs. Corsair replaced the keyboard for me two times. Eventually, Corsair gave up on the blue LED model and shipped me a K70 with red LEDs. The red LED K70 has not had a dead LED after almost a year.

         Agreed. I don’t like Anonymous, dont sign-up if ya dont want but at least identify yourself.

         Also, There is no-one anywhere, ever who will watch this and go, “I wana smoke so I can be cool like these guys!” No One. EVER! There are only looser X-Smokers like me who is craving a smoke like crazy just thinking about them for this long.

         (also I’m not trying to insult the hosts, it’s more giving some cred to the audience.)

   The Iris Pro chip you were talking about has 128MB embedded DRAM which also acts as a true L4 cache for the rest of the chip.

   It’s pretty awesome and allows the 4980MQ to do most compute tasks on par with a much high clocked 3770k, sometimes as fast as a 4770k given the right workload.

   Smoking in a home or studio
   Smoking in a home or studio is bad for the electronic equipment those smoke particles get everywhere, and they are so small they get deep down into the cooling fins on the CPU/Other cooling systems and can be corrosive. If you have a nicotine habit use an e cigarette, and at least the vapor does not have 10,000 other nasty compounds, some that cause cancer. That second hand smoke can damage other people’s lungs, and people with respiratory problems are affected by the smoke from regular cigarettes. For sure nicotine junkies need their fix, and the vapor delivery systems are not as polluting or bad for the equipment.

   FreeSync is Display Port 1.2a
   FreeSync is Display Port 1.2a and hopefully above, so AMD marketing get over yourself and step away from the branding. Let the standards organization do its job, it’s called Display Port Adaptive Sync, not FreeSync. Really AMD’s marketing term “hUMA” and the generic term UMA(unified memory addressing) are the same thing why is the marketing term hUMA necessary! AMD did not invent HSA, HSA has been around for decades in the HPC/supercomputing fields. It looks like the AMD’s marketing rewrote the Wikipedia entry to favor AMD’s brand of HSA, and scrubbed all of the heterogeneous Architecture history to make it look like HSA was an AMD invention! So much for computing science history and real learning, when it’s sales that matter, Nvidia is no innocent party as their marketing is just as bad. Really all the marketing renaming of generic computing science terminology is ruining the technology and computing science fields, and truly bastardizing computing science nomenclature/terminology!

   All this “brand awareness” is total BS, and has gotten out of hand. The VESA’s standards organization should have forced AMD to give up the branding, before it included “FreeSync” in the Display Port Adaptive Sync 1.2a standard.
