Benchmark Testing
Synthetic Benchmark Testing
SiSoft Sandra 2014 SP3
The Sandra benchmarks remain a fast and easy way to determine system quality from a CPU and memory subsystem perspective. The X99-Gaming 5P motherboard managed to match performance with the other Intel X99-based boards tested, indicating optimal implementation of the CPU and memory subsystem.
LinX
LinX is a graphical interface for CPU-based testing using the Intel Linpack benchmarks. It serves as a good indicator of proper system CPU functioning and is considered one of the most intensive CPU benchmarks currently available. LinX was run with Memory set to All and for a total of 3 runs. This test was repeated three times with the highest repeatable GFlops (Giga-Floating Point Operations Per Second) score recorded.
This CPU torture test is a proven method for identifying possible issues with the CPU to motherboard interface layer. No surprises with the X99-Gaming 5P's performance here in comparison to the other test systems. This further reinforces the board's optimized implementation of the CPU to board interface.
Multimedia and System Benchmark Testing
Maxon Cinebench R15
Maxon’s Cinebench R15 benchmark can be used determine a system's ability to render 3D content based on their Cinema 4D animation software. The CPU benchmark test was run three times, with the highest reproducible Cinebench points score recorded.
The X99-Gaming 5P closed out the benchmark tests with a strong score in this multimedia benchmark, further reinforcing its performance results from the other tests.
Great Review Morry, I like
Great Review Morry, I like all the features that GIGABYTE has laid into this sucker. Support for 128 gigs is awesome. I really wish Asus would have had more x99 boards with this support, especially for the prices you pay on this platform.
I am hoping you guys can do some reviews on the lower end X99 Boards. MSI X99 SLI plus and some other boards have been dropping in price like rocks sometimes way below 200 bones!!
Awesome review, but I was
Awesome review, but I was never into the whole “gamerish aesthetics”.
Sir Morry, could you please review the ASUS X99-E WS MOBO, I read several reviews, but IDK, somehow your reviews is just complete or perfect, IDK.
I once chatted with Josh to ask him to inform you and the PCper team, but you guys are probably playing with the “unreleased” 390x 🙂
but seriously, Could you please do review it, at least for the sake of this kitties

I've been in contact with ASUS, we should be getting something from them "soon". You'll likley see a review up on it in the July timeframe (maybe)…
Thank you very much sir, July
Thank you very much sir, July is actually perfect since it’s the time I’ll be ordering my parts. Also, I know I’m asking too much but reading through the “[Official] ASUS X99-E WS Owner’s thread”, I found out that some xeon cpu’s are unlocked, if you could also investigate such a phenomenon, I’ll be more than grateful.
Thank you, again. 🙂
