NVIDIA's reported revenue of $1.15 billion just missed the analysts predictions, they saw an increase of roughly 4% from Q1 2014 but an 8% drop compared to the last quarter of 2014 which saw the release of the GTX 970 and the usual spike in sales from the holidays. However when you look at net income, there was a drop of 2.2% compared to a year ago. GPU sales made up the bulk of the income and are doing well as that division increased sales by 14% from last year bring in revenue 4.7% higher than last year. Mobile Tegra sales saw a similar increase of 4.3% but the same can not be said for their LTE division, the Icera LTE modem unit is now on the chopping block, to either be dissolved or sold off. You can get more numbers from this story at The Register.
"Nvidia has reported revenues of US$1.15 billion for the first quarter ended April 26, 2015, up 4% from US$1.10 billion a year earlier, but down 8% from US$1.25 billion the previous quarter."

I’m confused, are you getting
I’m confused, are you getting payed by nvidia or amd to shill this one? ;D
Naw. We are way past both
Naw. We are way past both AMD and Nvidia paying them. I believe they’ve somehow gotten Goldman to sponsor posts. What you don’t see in the videos is the giant swimming pool full of money a la Scrooge Mcduck.
But seriously. Seems like the majority of the semiconductor industry is taking a good beating in Q1 and not so optimistic for Q2. I wonder if Chinese companies are going to take advantage of the stronger dollar to push even harder.
So this is a hardware review?
So this is a hardware review? Don’t use stupidity to cover up the facts.
no, it’s a link-ticle, but
no, it’s a link-ticle, but that’s the way the internet works these days. You can only review products when you have products to review, and you need to have something new posted to stay relevent on searches. Like it or not PCPER.COM as an corporation needs revenue to exist, adds grow revenue, and adds only work if people see them. If ya like pcper then live with the filler pieces and move on.
How about throwing in a game
How about throwing in a game when you by the Titan X you cheapskates.
They’re out of the phone(LTE
They’re out of the phone(LTE radio/modem) business, they are suing some big OEM’s, and burning any bridges for any future business with all Tablet OEMs. Now their CEO is trying out the car market, but how long before Nvidia screws up any business relationship in the auto market. The Auto market demands the lowest cost lowest margin parts for its products, and the automakers will not accept titan sized pricing for any of the computing systems in their products. With so many other ARM players out there and the Imagination Technologies(IT) PowerVR folks with a competitive GPU product, and even their own MIPS based CPU designs that are lower cost than ARM based products, Will the automakers go all in with Nvidia. I’d expect that some automakers that want to save on costs to go with some MIPS based product, as there are plenty of MIPS based CPUs doing control work in many devices, and those newer IT 64 bit MIPS designs, with powerVR high end graphics can do the same job as any Tegra based system, at a fraction of the cost. No amount of Nvidia’s CEO grandstanding at some off site hotel conference center at around the same time as a big related industry event will get over on the bean counters at the auto manufactures, who will always be looking for a competitively sourced open software standards based, SOC hardware for their autos! Nvidia can forget getting the automakers hooked on Cuda, for their software systems! It will be open standards and competitively priced SOC parts that will be in automobiles, and only Apple has the cash to maybe contract out a custom iAuto that uses its proprietary software/hardware ecosystem.
