Test Setup and Errata
Installation went without a hitch, the card worked as expected, and I received no errors throughout a variety of applications. There are no major errata to discuss about this card.
The outputs are appropriate for a card of this type. Too bad about that HDMI 2.0 support, but that isn't Sapphire's fault.
I used the Catalyst 15.4 Beta drivers which support all of my tested applications. Apparently a new set of drivers will be introduced soon to better support The Witcher 3 launch, but none of my applications will likely benefit from these upcoming drivers.
The fins are tall and densely packed. We can easily see one of the heatpipes that spreads the wealth.

Well, at least TriXX is able to identify the GPU in an accurate fashion.

Considering getting this or a GTX960, but I’ll probably wait until AMD announces their next run…
I think I can wait a week!

The R9 380 is going to be the r9 285. So going between the 285 and the 960 it just depends on which company you like.

So…..let me get this straight…..
No HEVC 8 and 10 bit decoding…high power consumption….
Comparable performance got GTX 960 (hardware hevc 8 + 10 bit decode, fan won’t spin for most of time due to low heat output)
Any reason to get AMD 285 ITX version for HTPC chassis alike?
GTX 960 sure is the better alternative here….
