A Detailed Look
The Seasonic Snow Silent 750W power supply enclosure features a gloss-white finish and measures 170mm (6.7”) deep. The unique color should appeal to anyone that has a white PC enclosure.
The back panel includes a power receptacle and master On-Off switch.
The new Snow Silent-750 uses a 120mm Hong Hua fan (HA1225M12F-Z) for cooling, which uses Fluid Dynamic Bearings (FDB) for quiet operation and long life. The fan is controlled by an improved Hybrid Fan control IC, which reduces fan hysteresis (how frequently the fan switches on and off). At 25°C ambient temperature the fan turns on when the load rises above 50% (±5%) and turns off when the load drops below 40% (±5%). Due to this lag in response the fan switches on and off less frequently, which reduces noise and power loss in Fanless and Silent Mode.
The power supply comes with thirteen labeled sockets on the front panel for connecting all the modular cables (24-pin mobo cables uses the two sockets on the left).
The bright blue label is designed to draw your attention to the Fan Control mode selector switch. You can select between Hybrid (S3FC) and Normal (S2FC) fan control modes. The Hybrid Silent Fan Control provides three operational stages: Fanless, Silent and Cooling Mode. The selector switch allows for manual selection between the Seasonic S2FC (fan control without Fanless Mode) or S3FC (fan control including Fanless Mode).
