Our Settings for GRID 2

GRID 2 is a very smooth and consistent game when looking at single GPU graphics cards and the AMD Fury X definitely keeps that trend going. But, the GTX 980 Ti is still slightly faster.

At 4K the Fury X can stretch its legs a bit more and is able to nearly, but not quite, match the performance of the GTX 980 Ti.

AMD Radeon R9 Fury X 4GB, Average FPS Comparisons, GRID 2
  GTX 980 Ti 6GB R9 290X 4GB R9 295X2 8GB
2560×1440 -10% +35% -18%
3840×2160 -2.5% +39% -44%

The advantage that the new Fury X holds over the R9 290X continues to impress us though we need to see a bit more out of the card to help topple the GTX 980 Ti's dominance.
