MSI Announces Z170I Gaming Pro AC Mini-ITX Motherboard
MSI has announced a new mini-ITX motherboard for Intel’s latest chipset, the Z170I Gaming Pro AC.
Mini-ITX boards have been hard to come by for Skylake thus far, with very few models and limited availability in the first month (though not quite as elusive as the i7-6700K). With this new gaming-oriented board MSI offers another option, and it looks pretty impressive with 5-phase power delivery, 802.11ac wireless, an Intel onboard NIC, and M.2 support from a slot on the back of the PCB.
Pricing isn’t immediately available, but the existing Mini-ITX Z170 motherboards (EVGA and ASRock each have one) have been selling for $199 so I’d expect something in that vicinity.

Looks to me that if you’re trying to use SATA4, you’re going to have a bad time :]. Seems great otherwise, looking forward to seeing more itx builds and reviews out in the wild!

If you’re getting a low/mid
If you’re getting a low/mid price stone without any OverClocking potential whatsoever, then they’re usually fine. But MSi’s motherboards really suck some major rat’s ass when it comes down to even slightest OverClocking above stock Turbo. Their motherboards’ BIOS also usually quite buggy (though I must admit that Gigabyte’s BIOS even worse). I dunno, we’ll see how this one does, I guess. I’ll be getting one for tests when it gets to my country. So far, I never seen a better ITX board than the ones AsRock made, their ITX mobos are simply PURRFECT, by every aspect. And I’ve tried a crapton of different mobos from different manufacturers, so I know what I’m talking about. Currently, AsRock’s ITX mobos are THE most best offering on the worldwide PC hardware market.

Looks like a good match for that little monster called the Nano. Can’t wait to see some mini rigs with that card.
