If you've decided that the GTX 980 Ti is the card for you due to price, performance or other less tangible reasons you will find that there are quite a few to choose from. Each have the same basic design but the coolers and frequencies vary between manufacturers, as do the prices. That is why it is handy that The Tech Report have put together a round up of four models for a direct comparison. In the article you will see the EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti SC+, Gigabyte's GTX 980 Ti G1 Gaming, MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G and the ASUS Strix GTX 980 Ti OC Edition. The cards are not only checked for basic and overclocked performance, there is also noise levels and power consumption to think about, so check out the full review.
"The GeForce GTX 980 Ti is pretty much the fastest GPU you can buy.The aftermarket cards offer higher clocks and better cooling than Nvidia's reference design. But which one is right for you?"

interesting that these boards
interesting that these boards use 10 more watts at stock clocks and 70 more watts when overclocked than the furyx.
not a fanboy statement as I run a 970 but it is nice to see how amd has actually equalled nvidia on power usage. the nvidia cards do outperform the amd offering but they are no longer the power usage king they were when compared to the 390x (which still uses a ton of power).
also a very nice job with gigabyte and its sound profile, very impressive.
Where are you looking?!?
Where are you looking?!? Geforce GTX 980Ti is at 327 watts and the Radeon R9 Fury X is at 370 watts card for card without overclocking…that’s a 43 watt difference, mind you the AMD card is using HBM memory, that’s huge power savings…wait till Nvidia makes a card with HBM memory, fan boy crap aside…yes AMD is doing better, but we are comparing 2 different technologies and HBM is 3x more power efficient! Read the reviews and get the facts people! Before you post BS!
about power usage.
As said,
about power usage.
As said, when overclocked the 980Ti trumps the Fury X no questions asked. Yes, they have improved power usage but keep in mind the Fury X has less VRAM and it’s also very power efficient so the amount the GPU is using compared to the 980Ti (with more VRAM that uses more power per GB) isn’t as good as at first glance when just comparing total card power.
That with the longest
That with the longest warranty.
The MSI card fits perfectly
The MSI card fits perfectly with the Kraken G10 for water cooling. No shims and stuff required.
