Tomorrow afternoon, at 12pm PT / 3pm ET, AMD is hosting a live stream on its Twitch channel to show off and discuss a little more about the upcoming Radeon R9 Nano product we previewed last month.
I have no idea what is going to be discussed, I have no idea how long it will be and I don't really know what to expect at all other than that. Apparently AMD is going to play some games on the R9 Nano as well as talk about mods that the small form factor enables.
Enjoy!

The Tech Report in whining
The Tech Report in whining about not getting any Fury Nano review sample, but if their commentards, mods, and astroterfers are any indicator of that sites slant over the years it’s no surprise.
It’s better to get the parts from a retailer anyways, and the review parts can be sold for very little loss after the benchmarking is done.
Hell S/A is not reviewing any Intel Skylake parts, because Intel has went all Apple with the NOT providing of the necessary CPU/GPU core micro-architecture information! Intel, does your Iris Pro graphics have any asynchronous/shader processing capabilities, what about skylake’s instruction decoder counts, reorder buffers, execution pipelines. The integrated graphics, SP numbers, ROPs, etc. etc!
You dont seem like a happy
You dont seem like a happy person, is it that important in your life that another site didn’t get a sample?
I suggest you get out more and meet a nice girl, wait, may be a bad girl, they are more fun.
I suggest that you get a
I suggest that you get a life, and be sure to get back to your AstroTurf team, where you happily work for the WINTEL interests! That site is Known for its shilling for the the alliance, and the bashing of any competition! Take some of that barbeque money and get a NANO. People trust the sites that buy rather than receive the favors of any interest. I’m all for the parts being put into a big pool and a disinterested third party running the lottery to see who get the sample parts for a period of time, then its back to the lottery and some other reviewer can randomly get that part to review!

yep, sounds about right. Thanks AMDshill…
If you have read TR AMD
If you have read TR AMD reviews and seen the comment section, its pretty clear that the site is not giving AMD fair and balanced product reviews.
I can see why AMD is not going to give way thousands of $ in product to a site that make extra effort to put you down.
I’m not saying that they should be nice to AMD, but Damage seem to make extra effort to focus on the negative and downplay the positives. And man, he doesn’t like to be called on that fact 🙂
And the crowd there is also mostly nvidia/intel fanboys, the comment section is very biased. Better not say anything positive about AMD if you dont want dozen of green and blue nerds lashing out.
Now, If your an nvidia/intel fan boy TR is the place to be, but the review there is more about full filling an expectation then doing objective reviews for buyers.
Its to bad, because the TR web site itself is very well done.
I tend to agree with you on
I tend to agree with you on this, but still reading TR reviews. I’m reading PCPer regularly as well. Do you have any suggestion where to go for independent unbiased reviews?
Also, this “community” aspect of tech sites is getting out of hand; maybe 1 of 100 comments is useful for someone who is not fan(boy) or brand loyal.
Sounds like you’re hooked in
Sounds like you’re hooked in with the GPU monopoly, and that ACE compute has hit your Green($$$$) Team’s product segmentation right in the reduced FP, No Hardware Asynchronous compute, overcharging two-face. Oh how Nvidia hyped the power usage metrics, but Nvidia had to rip out too much functionality to get there. AMD produces a GPU product that appeals to more than just gaming, and Nvidia wants to be like Intel, with Nvidia Milking the market for more money while stripping out more performance/functionality in its GPUs, and charging dearly to put it back.
It’s not the case of being an AMD shill it’s more of the case of being against the monopoly market share interests like Nvidia, Intel, and M$ trying to limit competition and reduce technological improvements to a snail’s pace to milk the users for more money with paltry performance improvements over longer periods of time. Some websites that are not getting their free review samples are going to have to get them from the store, but those websites are definitely more WINTEL alliance with the most dedicated in house astroturfing teams that constantly deride any other brand, and the dedicated astroterfers even complement each others smear tactics against AMD and others’ products. People read and see and know what goes on, and those astroturfers think that no one realizes what things they are up to!
Nvidia is another major market share holder that is stripping compute functionality out and only bringing it back in its most expensive SKUs at a very high cost $$$$. AMD is more about GPU usability across Gaming and Compute, while continuing to move towards more HSA style compute done on the GPU! Does Intel provide more compute on its GPU cores, I seriously doubt it, because Intel does not want its consumer desktop SKUs competing with its expensive server SKUs. AMD’s ACEs are going to give Intel some serious competition in the future as more compute moves to being done on the GPU, and AMD and the other members of the HSA foundation will be doing even more compute on GPUs going forward! Just look at the mobile market that Intel can not make any inroads into, with all the new HSA style compute being done on the mobile SOC’s GPUs! Intel’s attempts at buying its way into the mobile market and stifling innovation then overcharging for the parts will not succeed.
