Far Cry Primal was announced and it is even more console-centric than the previous release, seeing as how the PC launch will be a month after its initial release. We can only hope that Ubisoft does spend time making sure that high end PCs do have graphic features that take advantage of the power provided by new GPUs. As for the gameplay it should be interesting as there will be no more machine guns and fancy pistols, you will be stabbing mammoths with pointy sticks and running for your life from sabretooth tigers. It also sounds as though eating enough food and other features common to the plethora of survival sims will be included, making this very different from previous games. Check out the trailer and screenshots at Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN if you haven't seen them yet.
"Ubisoft attempted to announce Far Cry Primal [official site] with a tantalising livestream, which was rather spoiled by a brief leak of the game’s name and basic details. Now we know more, including proper trailers, screenshots, and a release date… which will see the game land on PC the month after it’ll arrive on console."

After Far Cry 3, I was so
After Far Cry 3, I was so excited for Far Cry 4. Couldn’t wait. Then I played about ten or twelve hours of it and never touched it again. Never even finished it. It was too much Far cry and not enough of what Far Cry 3 really brought to the game.
I can’t say I’m excited for more Far Cry, at this point. Frankly, I can’t think of anything Ubi does anymore that I am excited about. Good job running your shit into the ground with every one or two year releases — where every game is a carbon copy of each other, anyway.
So, another console port?

So, another console port?
At least I know I won’t have any trouble running it on high settings.

Bows and arrows. Really?
Farcry is all aboiut the guns
I loved Far Cry 2 and Far Cry
I loved Far Cry 2 and Far Cry 3. I have played then over and over again. However in my view the essence of far cry was lost in far cry 4. The whole story thing does not work for me. There isn’t enough explanation for the reason Ajay need to pick up the gun and start fighting. The story also fails to disclose any motivation necessary for Ajay to starting these brutal acts. For example when you first arrive in the village, a character states that “we haven’t got time for tourists”. So he isn’t even well known. I wanted to enjoy Far Cry 4 like have enjoyed the past far cry games but I never touched the game after three hours of game play.
If the game play for Far Cry Primal are to be believed then Ubisoft have just shoot them selves in the foot.
