A Detailed Look
The Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G 850W power supply enclosure is painted matte black with red, white and gold colored trim and measures 180mm (7.1”) long. The back panel includes an On-Off switch and AC receptacle.
The power supply uses a 140mm Thermaltake TT1425 (HA1425L12SB-Z) that incorporates dual ball bearings for reliable operation and long life. The fan is rated for 0.22A at 12 VDC.
The front panel incorporates ten modular connectors for the power cables, all nicely labeled. The small connector up top labelled USB is where the included DPS cable plugs into the PSU (more on that later).
Fully Modular Cables
DPS G 850W: (3) PCI-E, (1) 4+4 pin EPS/ATX12V, (1) 24-pin ATX
DPS G 850W: (3) SATA, (2) 4-pin Peripheral, (1) FDD Adapter
(Connector Table from DPS G 850W Box)
The Toughpower DPS G 850W comes with a good assortment of fully modular cables and connectors. Noticeably missing however is a second EPS cable. Not everyone needs two EPS cables but at this power level and price point, Thermaltake should have included it. If your mobo happens to require two, you will be out of luck. All of the cables are black, flat ribbon-style, which makes for easy installation with a clean look and helps optimize case airflow.
Never thought I’d say this
Never thought I’d say this about a PSU, but this Thermaltake is absolutely gorgeous. Next I wanna see is a chassis that goes along with that retro look.
Hi Guys, Thanks for
Hi Guys, Thanks for explaining this port connection. The Tt documentation is rather light on the connection scheme. Best Regards,
