In case you thought we missed something in our discussion of the new AMD Crimson software you can check out what some of the other websites thought of the new release. The Tech Report is a good first stop, they used the Fable Legends DX 12 to test the improvements to frametime which will be of interest to those who do not obsess over DX 9 games and their performance. They also delve a bit more into the interface so you can see what the new screens will look at as well as learning the path that will take you to a familiar settings screen. Check out their impressions right here.
"AMD's Radeon Software Crimson Edition is the second in a line of major annual graphics driver updates from the company. Crimson also replaces the Catalyst Control Center software with a faster, more refined utility called Radeon Settings. We dug in to see what Crimson has to offer."

The Crimson King only games on Steam OS, no need for that 21st Century Schizoid M$ UI and crApp Store ecosystem on 8/8.1 and the Spyware infested 10!

You do realize that MS has been doing data collection for user experience improvement as far back as windows XP, right?
Got that all blocked in 7,
Got that all blocked in 7, and spyware 10 will never be allowed on my hardware. Just waiting for some AMD Steam OS benchmarks and Vulkan support to move away from M$’s crap forever! With 10 and the forced spyware downloads users will never have full control of their hardware, things that are turned off in 10 will be turned right back on and new spyware added! So bye M$ smell you later!
Now, now, don’t spoil it for
Now, now, don't spoil it for them with facts.
Not to spoil it (No really,
Not to spoil it (No really, let’s spoil it good) for the hand that feeds your spin cycles! But those Clown Princes in Redmond are not wearing any clown clothes. The only reason people ever took to M$’s cruft in the first place is because they were not Apple, but now M$ has gone full on Apple and then some! Well, Steam OS is there! So expect that some will not want to remain dependent on Redmond’s “product”. 7 will suffice with Vulkan while the transition to Linux happens! With 2020 and 7’s EOL, well that can be extended indefinitely locked up in a VM for legacy purposes and isolated from the net while the transition to Steam OS for gaming goes forward!
