Someone on NeoGAF got their hands on Fallout 4 screenshots. These ones are from the PC, captured at 1080p with supposedly Ultra settings. I can believe it.

Not much to be said about these, apart from “go to NeoGAF to see the rest of them”. From the spoilers side of things, near the bottom of the page, there's an image that lists a bunch of perks. It's small enough that you cannot read it unless you right-click and “view image”, so don't worry about accidentally seeing it. Otherwise, there isn't really any spoilers on that page, although I didn't check the other ones. Be careful if you start browsing the other pages of the thread.

They posted their system specs, but it's kind-of irrelevant. We don't know how old their build is.
Fallout 4 launches on Tuesday (the same day as StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void — which is irrelevant to this post, but I want you all to know my pain).

So… dogs of the future have Vaseline coating on their fur? What’s up with the painted-on windows on those houses? Graphically, I see a lot of shortcuts. The environments look pretty enough, but the detail is really lacking.

I assume they have the default temporalAA enabled in these screenshots, and its living up to its reputation of casting fine detail into oblivion. I just hope there is a deferred AA option available that doesn’t come with a blurring post in tow.

It seems that they went with a single texture file for the houses, shadows cast on them have no offsets as they go across the surfaces. they are truly flat.

One of those times where I have to say, welcome to 4 days ago PCPer 🙂 Actual further developments have occurred since then, more things pointing to this is not an accurate / legit set of items for Ultra PC.

Now i know why i decided to not buy a PS4. I saw fading in every single video at youtube and co… I love the freedom to chose wether spending money or picture quality.
This looks good to me so far. Thanks =)

I like the visual look. I really believe though that Bethesda took the time to make the mechanics of the game much better (shooting, crafting, base building, etc.) and they know that mixers are going to make this game look amazing. The visuals seem great to me, but they look like they were made to give mixers an easier time upgrading them. The colors are very flat and mute, seems like a base layer of textures and colors that Bethesda wants mixers to take to the next level. Either way I am pleased and can’t wait to play it.

totally agree……the game looks great, stop crying and enjoy it when it arrives people. Just think of the modding possibilities.

The graphics don’t “wow” me. They look rather flat and bland but I’ve played through F3 and New Vegas which had worse visuals and still had over 200hrs of fun. That’s why I’m not sweating about graphics.
What I do mind are those huge gun models. Seriously, they were also big in previous games, why ? The take up a lot of space, especially bigger guns. I’m hoping there will be a FOV slider that will somewhat alleviate the problem (like mods for F3 and NV).
