On paper it looks brilliant, a 3440×1440 IPS curved display with a a refresh rate that can be overclocked to 100Hz, with G-SYNC handling the adaptive sync duties. It will cost you a bit to pick up of course, currently Amazon has it priced at $1350 so it does have a lot to live up to. Techgage tested it out and found a lot to love, from physical control buttons instead of virtual controls, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors as well as four USB 3.0 ports speak well of the physical design. On the other hand the monitor has a serious case of IPS glow and some may not be able to hit 100Hz, then again neither can most GPUs even when in SLI. Techgage offers advice on adjusting your display if you have issues and overall loved everything about the display … excepting the price.
Ryan and the crew took a look at this display a while back.
"On the lookout for a gaming monitor that can do it all? If price isn’t a concern, Acer's Predator X34 is the one to look at. It comes in at 34 inches, boasts a 3440×1440 ultra-wide resolution, makes images pop with an IPS panel, takes advantage of NVIDIA’s G-SYNC frame-smoothing technology, and if that’s not enough: it’s curved."

They have a whole page on
They have a whole page on overclocking it, it ships at 60Hz. The glow is going to happen to some extent, extra wide panels tend to exhibit it more.
So Techgage liked everything
So Techgage liked everything secondary or typical on this monitor, USB ports, controls, DP and HDMI inputs, and didn’t really liked what is the most important. The screen and the price.
– And here we have a very expensive car. It’s not the best car on the road, but it is the most expensive in it’s category and comes with leather seats and four doors.

I think people should start bashing at any monitor that comes at prices like this. Companies are moving prices close to $1500 for 1440p? Really? That’s bad.
All IPS panels have glow, the
All IPS panels have glow, the X34 isn’t that bad. the wake from sleep issue the first batch (mine included) suffered was a bigger issue.
The panel is still selling out so the pricing cant be that bad. Would I like it cheaper sure, but the market os saying the current price is fine.
The price is double what it
The price is double what it should be, hosko I sure hope your enjoying it cause it must be nice to have that kinda money.
Sure its pricey but it also
Sure its pricey but it also means I don’t have dual monitors on my desk. The duals were great for productivity and crap for gaming. Whats the cheapest two G-Sync displays out there?
Everyone’s budget is different and I understand that its not for everyone but in a world that has Titans from Nvidia there is a market.
