I’m very new to this! My power supply died in my desktop computer. Someone recommended an EVGA 500B, but it would be great to have an 80-plus Gold so it would hopefully last longer. If I go with a G2 or GQ series in Gold, however, the dimensions of the unit will exceed the current PSU’s dimensions of 140(L) x 150(W) x 85. Most new PSU’s run 160-165(L)x150x85. Can I simply install an extra clip or some kind of brace further away from the built-in original clip to hold it snuggly in the space? Thank you!
