Another reported photo of an upcoming GTX 1080 graphics card has appeared online, this time via a post on Baidu.
The image is typically low-resolution and features the slightly soft focus we've come to expect from alleged leaks. This doesn't mean it's not legitimate, and this isn't the first time we have seen this design. This image also appears to only be the cooler, without an actual graphics card board underneath.
We have reported on the upcoming GPU rumored to be named "GTX 1080" in the recent past, and while no official announcement has been made it seems safe to assume that a successor to the current 900-series GPUs is forthcoming.
This card can only and should
This card can only and should be bundled with a Batman game. Just look at it and tell me it doesn’t look like a Bat Mobile.

Oh Sebastian, making fun of their photography skills. We all know who takes the best PCPER pictures. haha. But seriously, if I were leaking a picture, I doubt I would have time to find my DSLR.

Lets hope this thing has REAL
Lets hope this thing has REAL full DX12 support. Supporting simultaneous, not sequential, processing of both graphics and compute workloads without the costly context switching that Maxwell GPU’s have to do.
Are you talking about GP100s
Are you talking about GP100s pre-emption capability?
i hate this look i like 900
i hate this look i like 900 series style better it was a lot cleaner, but i’m sure lots of people like this, their always been that divide in the pc market, either clean design or just this gody style that mostly teenage boys like with blue and red led strips and fans with stickers on the side
Agree, that design is awful.
Agree, that design is awful. The whole trend with put as many pointy bits on your hardware to make it “extreme gamer” is lame as hell.
i would love the old design

Last I heard, nVidia will be
Last I heard, nVidia will be changing their product naming to something similar to AMD. They want to keep it short and not confusing. I doubt we’ll see the new cards called the 1000 series, but maybe something like the X series.
And the new cards needs better cooling 😛
I think we should have a 3d
I think we should have a 3d printer contest, lets make a better looking GPU cooler than this one. Ready Go!!!
P.S. Make sure to take photo on crappy phone so we can send it viral on the webs!!!

Make it with that and then use DMLS, SLM or EBM to create the heat exchanger/heatsink and shroud in METAL as one piece.
No friggin way that is what
No friggin way that is what ships.
Why not? Its angular and new
Why not? Its angular and new looking and the consumer stuff needs a new look to differentiate it from the ancient 28nm stuff like 980tis.
The design makes no sense for
The design makes no sense for production. This wont be made for the same reason concept cars never look like the actual car. An acrylic window, screws, complex geometry, all add cost and zero performance.
Well I was half right – it
Well I was half right – it did ship but for an extra $100 looooool
