Microsoft has been slowly shifting Windows and the rest of their software toward a dark theme over the last couple of years. This is the case on Visual Studio, Edge, and… some of the operating system's user interface. You can see it in the taskbar, in a few context menus on the desktop, and so forth. If you then open the system settings, you are greeted with light grey and white.
According to Brad Sams at Thurrott.com, Windows 10 will receive an actual dark theme option in the upcoming Anniversary Update. It could have been unlocked in the registry since before Windows 10 initially launched last year, but it was very incomplete. I also don't exactly like enabling experimental things in the registry, because you never know if Microsoft will test all possible combinations of work-in-progress flags when said feature actually goes public.
Speaking of which, the Windows 10 Anniversary Update is expected at some point in July. You know, the one-year anniversary of Windows 10 reaching RTM totally not RTM, because Windows 10 doesn't go RTM.
I first read that as “Windows
I first read that as “Windows 10 Will Finally Get a Dank Theme in Windows 10” and I got excited, since it means
“The Meaning of DANK
DANK means “Very potent marijuana” or “Incredibly good, awesome”
Then I realize it says Dark theme, meh.
On another note your article title is redundant, you should drop the second Windows 10 so it reads:
Windows 10 Will Finally Get a Dark Theme
Fffffffff.
Fffffffff. Thanks.
Transcription error. Draft said "Windows 10 Will Finally Get a Dark Them in Redstone 1".

Dark as in dung, because
Dark as in dung, because that’s what M$ is doing to open computing and gaming. It’s really time to go for a truely open OS gaming/computing solution! M$ will only feign its solutions as being open, but any so called movement towards being open is fully and completely negated by that EULA in windows 10. It’s the hook, line, and sinker and that temporary relenting to the users’ requests that will find many M$’s next feast, to be consumed and digested only to exit from M$’s bowels and out the lower portal as a new dark theme. Enjoy the trip Universal Windows Peasants(UWP).
Trust not the M$ OS Trust, or you will pay that extra 30% of the top of the action for your games and other software.
All users should have Linux
All users should have Linux their primary OS. Run windows 10 Redstone 1 in a Virtualbox.
So you will have real bash or fish or zsh or ksh running Linux and bash on Ubuntu on Windows 10.
I always preferred the old
I always preferred the old slate theme from previous version of Windows but to think that reintroducing a similar theme is considered progress now days is deeply saddening.
