Even as taxing as The Witcher 3 is, the GTX 1070 is able to meet or beat the performance of the GeForce GTX 980 Ti, tieing at 2560×1440 but outperforming it by 7% at 1080p; that's a pretty impressive result. The GTX 1080 is 20% faster at the higher resolution though, giving it a definite edge for gamers looking to adopt higher resolutions.
