A Detailed Look

The SilverStone Titanium Series 600W power supply enclosure is painted with a fine hammertone satin black finish and trimmed with white logo and nameplate. The compact chassis measures 150mm (5.9”) deep.  The back panel includes an AC receptacle and open honey-comb grill but noticeably missing is a master on-off switch.

The power supply uses a Hong Hua 120mm fan for cooling.  The fan (HA1225H12F-Z) is rated for 0.58A at 12 VDC and features a fluid dynamic bearing bearing for long life and quiet operation. SilverStone has elected to eliminate the semi-fanless fan controller on the Titanium Series power supplies. This is a good move in my opinion as I prefer to have a very quiet fan spinning slowly (virtually silent) even at low power to keep a little air moving through the power supply.

The front panel on the 600W PSU incorporates twelve modular cable connectors, all nicely labelled and color coded. The power supply comes with little covers over most of the connectors, which we have never seen before. During installation, you can just uncover the connectors you need and leave any unused connectors covered for a clean look.

All of the modular cables are flat ribbon-style to assist with neat cable routing and to help maximize airflow.

SilverStone includes one of their 140mm dust filters with each Titanium Series power supply.

The filter incorporates tiny magnets at each corner to hold it in place and can be positioned over the cooling fan to help keep dust out of the power supply.
