3DMark Fire Strike and Unigine Heaven 4.0

Now that we have taken a look at gaming tests using our Frame Rating metrics and testing methods, we are including a set of tests from more standard benchmarks like Unigine Heaven and 3DMark.

I consider these tests to be somewhat of a "best case" for all the cards in our comparison.  We aren't using our frame capture system, we aren't measuring frame latency, nothing like that; I think this should give you an idea of graphics performance if each vendor had the best result for each game.

Our 3DMark results are a decent indicator of performance, with the Radeon R9 390 barely edging out the new RX 480 and it just barely edging out the GTX 970 from NVIDIA. Neither the R9 380 or the GTX 960 really stand a chance.

Unigine Heaven scores closely match the results from 3DMark though AMD should be happy with the proximity of the RX 480 to the GTX 970 considering how much tessellation works into this particular test.
