The temperature is heating up across the US and we're starting to lose our minds around here. As a result, we have convinced our friends at Killer Networks, Alienware and Logitech G to give some incredible hardware packages to our readers and fans!
How does an Alienware 15 Gaming Laptop with an MSRP of $1199 sound to you? Pretty nice, right? And if you aren't the lucky winner of that, how about one of five packages worth $390 each from Logitech that include a G633 headset, G810 keyboard and G502 mouse?
Winning is easy – you can enter through one or methods, each of which is worth its own entry. We are open to anyone, anywhere in the world, so enter away! Entries close at midnight ET on July 31st when we'll draw the winners at random.

Not sure I even want to
Not sure I even want to win.
Killernic is really a product that is only marketing. The whole company is based on tricking people who don’t know better to buy overpriced stuff they do not really need.
Hey, if you win, and don’t
Hey, if you win, and don’t want those piece-of-junk items that just trick people into buying overpriced stuff, I’d be more than happy to take them off your hands.
I was shocked to see that
I was shocked to see that Killer is still in business!
Killer’s business is now
Killer’s business is now focused on directly selling to OEMs to integrate into their products.
Which is why comments about them being overpriced are rather outdated now.
MSI and Gigabyte both have motherboards that integrated a Killer NIC instead of Intel. There isn’t any price premium for it.
Without the software it is just a NIC, http://techreport.com/review/29144/revisiting-the-killer-nic-eight-years-on
Do not be silly of course
Do not be silly of course there is a cost to use the “killer nic”.
It’s still only marketing as the actual chip used is a ethernet chip from qualcomm that the motherboard vendor could use directly and just skip the killer branding.
So yes you do pay for the stupid marketing and now you can’t even avoid it since the mainboard vendor is the one putting it in.
But hey with the super duper software you could shave of that 100 microseconds delay that has SOOOOO big impact on gaming you just have to replace the OS IP stack with some custom code. what a great idea …. NOT!
Moron, there is no price
Moron, there is no price premium on MOBOs using Killer NICs over Intel NICs. Do you think Intel provides those free of charge???

Thanks very much for these contest’s Ryan. It is quite generous of you and the sponsors.
I have been reading PC Perspective since the early 2000’s and my purchase of AMD Athlon XP cpu’s from Palomino to Barton and beyond. At the time you were known as Amdmb.com I think.
Anyway, you have been one of the most enjoyable and informative PC/gaming/tech websites I have had the pleasure of reading. It really proves if you do what you love it will show, and it shows.
Thanks again for everything!
