Settings used for Gears of War

At 1920×1080, the GTX 1060 and the GTX 980 are essentially identical in performance in Gears of War. Compared to the GTX 970 the new GP106 is about 11%, and it is only 17% behind the GeForce GTX 1070. Interestingly, this is the first place where we see the Radeon RX 480 actually match or better the GTX 1060.

Moving up to the 2560×1440 resolution, we actually find that the RX 480 is 11% faster than the GTX 1060 – the first noticeable win for the Polaris card. Still, the GTX 1060 provides performance within 5% of the GTX 980!
