A Detailed Look
The new PRIME Titanium Series power supplies incorporate extremely tight voltage regulation, which Seasonic calls Micro Tolerance Load Regulation (MTLR). This results in the three primary rails (+3.3V, +5V, and +12V) exhibiting less than or equal to 0.5% voltage drop within the tight 2% voltage regulation range!

One of the techniques that Seasonic uses to achieve such tight load regulation is remote voltage sensing, which is implemented by adding voltage sense wires to the 24-pin ATX cable bundle. For the +3.3V, +5V and +12V DC outputs load carrying wires deliver power from the PSU to the 24-pin ATX connector. But additional wires are added to “sense” each of the voltages at the ATX connector and send a signal back to the load regulation circuits. As the load increases, voltage typically drops at the connector, and the load regulation circuits compensate by slightly increasing the output voltages as the loads go up.
You can see the four sense wires in the photo above, labelled with colored wire ties (Blue +3.3V, Black – Ground, Red +5V, and Yellow +12V)).
The Seasonic PRIME 750W Titanium power supply enclosure is painted satin black with white lettering and chrome fan grill trim. The unit measures 170mm (6.7”) long. The back panel includes an On-Off switch, AC receptacle and a large honey-comb grill area for good exhaust airflow.
The power supply uses a high-quality 135mm Hong Hua fan (HA13525M12F-Z) that incorporates a fluid dynamic bearing for quiet operation and long, reliable life. The fan is rated for 0.36A and 1800 rpm at 12 VDC.
The front panel includes thirteen connectors for the modular cables, all nicely labeled.
The PRIME 750W power supply comes with an excellent assortment of twelve fully modular cables for easy installation and clean builds. All of the cables are the flat ribbon-style except for the 24-pin ATX cable which is covered with black plastic braiding.

Under the Hood
Here are a few pictures showing the layout and components inside the PRIME 750W Titanium power supply. Of course Seasonic is the OEM! The layout and build quality appear to be excellent.
Seasonic is using a state of the art, high-performance full-bridge LLC, Synchronous Rectification power conversion design along with DC-to-DC voltage regulators located on a daughter card to provide outstanding voltage regulation and high efficiency.
All of the Japanese made capacitors are rated for 105°C operation and the two primary filter caps are made by Nippon Chemi-Con and rated for 560 uF and 450 uF, 400V, and 105°C.
I’m a little concerned about
I’m a little concerned about the switch from Sanyo Denki fans to Hong Hua, but given that warranty, it seems that Seasonic is confident that the fans will last.

If it’s anyhting like their previous PSUs, the fan never spins anyway if you size it slightly bigger than your needs.

Just bought an X850 Gold dirt cheap on Newegg and it has the Sanyo Denki fan.

I’ve been hoping you guys would review this PSU. Good job!
How about coil whine? It will
How about coil whine? It will not show up in normal sound pressure measurements. Did you notice any coil whine?
I had extreme trouble finding a power supply without bad coil whine. I went through several very expensive and recognized brands before settling on the Corsair RM750.
Neither of my Seasonic X
Neither of my Seasonic X Series have coil whine and i am EXTREMELY sensitive to it. My ears fill with fluid sometimes as the result of a back and neck injury, so coil whine(or any high frequency sounds) actually cause me physical pain 🙂
From what i read, this Seasonic will not have coil whine since its coils are encased in something specifically to prevent vibration.
Seasonic or something they
Seasonic or something they have created for OEM is the only power supplies I buy, but usually they have a really understated design, a shame they have gone away from that, this is starting to remind me of something “gaming” branded!
i’m using Seasonic X-750
i’m using Seasonic X-750 (KM3) but frankly speaking, Seasonic had the highest & the worst failure rate ever.

dude, google is your friend. please don’t denied that Seasonic higher failure rate.
by the way, i’m Seasonic fan-boy.
650W versions apparently got
650W versions apparently got delayed because the cables had issues/defects during tests on a Chroma station.
Hence why only reviews of the 750W one are showing up for now.
