Just as we do here at PC Perspective, The Tech Report relies on rating frame times to provide accurate benchmarks as opposed to the raw number of frames per second a card provides. This means that their look at the new DX12 patch for Deus Ex focuses on different data which does not produce the same results as FRAPs would. This shows in their results, switching to DX12 results in much longer frame times in Deus Ex, with many spikes and a significant amount of frames that take more than 50ms to refresh. Drop by to see their full look here.
"An early version of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's DirectX 12 rendering path is available now, and many sites and AMD itself are already producing average FPS numbers using that software. We go inside the second to see what the real story is."

So much for AMD touting
So much for AMD touting they’re better at DX12 lol.
Even with a biased glacier engine and all that jazz.
From the techReport’s
From the techReport’s article:
“that a preview version of the DirectX 12 render path is available on Steam as a beta release branch.”
So It’s a BETA version and you come to your conclusion about AMD how? It sounds like you have an agenda and will grasp at anything to make AMD the party to blame for this BETA testing version’s performance!
Now Go get your few cents from JHH, good dog, very good dog!

OK, that one made me laugh.
OK, that one made me laugh.
Happy to bring laughter when
Happy to bring laughter when the fanboys start coming in
Does that make you feel
Does that make you feel better about your life? Glad they can help. There is plenty of room for both companies in the space, but obviously hating one for some pathological reason makes you feel better about yourself. Good luck with that. I hated Apple for many years, but I finally got past it, realizing it was all about my fears and insecurities. Now I appreciated the good work they do and get why people have such an affinity for their phones, at least.
I like the ‘biased engine’
I like the 'biased engine' part, because devs are obviously going to try to limit their marketability, amiright?
Gaming Evolved titles, look
Gaming Evolved titles, look at Hitman….
This is same engine but modified so before the game came out I was already expecting same kind of results.
Luckily these type of engines are few and the majority of devs use either UE4 , Frostbite, Unity, Cryengine to name some of the big ones.
FYI, the in game benchmark is
FYI, the in game benchmark is a lot different, and also tends to inflate AMD performance relative to the actual game itself. AMD seems to be doing this a lot recently with their G.E titles like Total Warhammer, where the scripted benchmark will return higher values for AMD hardware compared to the game itself.
PCGH.de tested the game using the Prague area, and there the performance was not only much better overall for both NVidia and AMD, but NVidia took the lead over AMD:

Its just because it’s not
Its just because it’s not optimized yet. But in like 2 years it will be running better on AMD and worse on Nvidia like always.
You just basically have to wait 2 years to play your games and then you are like the BESTEST EVER. If Nvidia would stop helping the developers optimize their games and then branding it the way it’s meant to be played and just leave the developers alone to just code their own shizz then AMD would be like 2X better than Nvidia.
Nvidia parallelogram drivers is like AGP Bacon
It’s probably a faulty router causing those spikes in that graph
Is there any way to get frame times on a PS4? I know it’s not possible but it would be interesting to see that data to go along with the 30fps vs the PC. I would suspect the PS4 would crush the PC
Pray to be on the market AMD
Pray to be on the market AMD until then… because how things work for them on the video card market… is not pink at all, is only green… get it “green” ?!? :))
Its easier to get blood out
Its easier to get blood out of a stone then for a lazy developer to optimize for Radeon or DX12. Even a DX12 patch will yield some gains in AMD cards, but near enough is not good enough.
