The release of NVIDIA's GeForce 375.57 graphics drivers wasn't the most smooth. It introduced a few bugs into the package, which was likely due to all of the games that were coming out at the time. One issue introduced artifacts in animated GIFs, which could introduce seconds worth of black blotches. This was supposed to be fixed in the next WHQL driver, but it slipped. Since the next WHQL driver is looking to be a couple of weeks out, NVIDIA released a hotfix.
The driver also fixes “occasional flicker on high refresh rate monitors”. I'm not sure how old this bug is. I've heard some people complain about it with recent drivers, but Allyn and I have noticed weird snowy flickers for several months now. (Allyn actually took slow motion video of one occurrence back in May.) I guess we'll see if this is the same issue.
You can pick up 375.76 Hotfix from NVIDIA's CustHelp.

Did you guys report on it since you’ve been seeing it for several months.
Can you link to your reports on it?
You do realize that the only
You do realize that the only reason you know this is because I just reported on it, right?
Ah no sir, Its been reported
Ah no sir, Its been reported on GeForce Forums constantly with each driver release.
I was wondering why not report it instead of keeping quiet so it can be fixed. Draw attention to it so others if you bother reading Nvidia own forums will get it solved instead of just staying silent for all these months. Since May, 5 months of silence on it and a TechSite with constant driver release articles at your disposal to draw attention to the issue for it to be fixed.
Really? Because it actually
Really? Because it actually started happening before May (around the Vulkan pre-release drivers IIRC). I didn't see anyone mention it in the GeForce forums at the time, so I (again, at that time) thought I was the only person who experienced it (like my crashing taskbar) until Allyn showed me a video he took of it.
So your saying you think the
So your saying you think the errors you get are isolated to user error until a co-worker has the same issue?
All you had to do is Google Nvidia flicker and you will find Reddit and various other forums with similar cases. Not sure why your isolating yourself on such matters especially working at a techsite.
What do you mean by “crashing
What do you mean by “crashing taskbar”? If it’s the taskbar not working when a pop-up from something like Skype is about to show up, or when you click a pinned explorer shortcut, then you’re not the only one having the problem.
For me it started after the Anniversary Update.
Nah. It usually ends up with
Nah. It usually ends up with the taskbar just randomly sliding out, come back empty, then start to get repopulated. It was this way since like, January or February. Windows support tweeted to me telling me to basically repair the Windows install, but I was planning on reformating anyway. Still never got around to getting a new SSD to do that, though. :
The slide-out and
The slide-out and repopulation happens to me when Explorer.exe reboots, when the system realizes that the taskbar stopped working.
Eh, guess I need to reinstall Windows too. Hoping that will fix the Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation using 30% CPU and causing the sound in voice chat apps like Skype and Discord to die.
This happens to me, except I
This happens to me, except I don’t use a hidden taskbar. All the icons get removed then come back as blank/white placeholder and then refresh into normalcy. It’s happened as long as I’ve been using Windows 10. I notice it happening maybe once a day or every couple of days, who knows if it happens more whilst I’m not looking.
I’m also using nvidia and unsure if it’s related.
I don’t use a hidden taskbar,
I don't use a hidden taskbar, either. The slide-out shouldn't happen, but it does.
Unfortunately got both
Unfortunately got both issues. Now I can see my porn gifs properly, thanks nvidia.

the “gif” issue (not sure if it actually affected .gifs as well, or only the mp4 clips everyone stll calls gifs) was only present in windows 10 in my experience. I went between 10 and 7 with the exact same driver version, anf the corruption never occurred in 7.

The 37X series is getting worse and worse. Tons of stuff they broke, especially in Vulkan support is still not addressed… Just when you think good hardware and shitty drivers was an AMD exclusive feature… (AMD doesn’t even have the top of the line hardware for some time now)

Weird… I only had the taskbar dissapear on me once last month after a few Win 10 (Enterprise & Anniversary update) updates. After a reboot never happened again. I have 2 high refresh rate monitors ACER Predator xb270hu (DP) and ASUS vg248qe (D-DVI) running at 120Hz both and never had flickering (I have a reference GTX980 Ti (OC @1500Mhz on water)always with latest drivers and using GFE for shadowplay).
