We don't see many Alcatel phones, so why not take a peek at their newest model, the Flash 2 Plus. At 5.5" it is big enough to be in that strange breed called phablets, with a 1080p screen it is perhaps not the most impressive example of its species. Inside you will find the MediaTek Helio P10 SoC, with an eight core ARM big.LITTLE consisting of four Cortex-A53 @ 1.8GHz and four more Cortex-A53 at 1GHz, an ARM Mali-T860 MP2 GPU and either 2GB or 3GB of LP-DDR3 depending on the model you chose. It is certainly not the top performing phablet on the market, but it is also not the most expensive, about $140 Euros or in the neighbourhood of $200US if you find it over here. You can read more about it at TechARP.

This is bugging me. It should be €140 not $140.
The Mali-T860 MP2 GPU is only
The Mali-T860 MP2 GPU is only a Midgard 4th gen product why not wait for the Mali-G51/G71 Bifrost 5th gen designs. Also wait for any A73 CPU cores as that is the latest from Arm Holdings also! That Bifrost GPU micro-arch is definitely worth the wait paired with some very efficient A73 CPU cores. I have a Samsung galaxy On5(replaceable battery) smart-phone and with all that app crap turned off it lasts more than 10 days on standby and I’ll bet that any affordable A73/Mali G51 parings will last even longer. High end smart-phones without replaceable batteries are a big waste of money!
That’s 174.83 US Dollars and too high priced, wait for the new generation CPU/GPU designs from ARM Holdings to make their way into the market!
