UPDATE: If you missed the live stream today, don't worry! You can catch the reply right here:
Last year, AMD and its software team dispatched some representatives to our offices to talk about the major software release that was Radeon Software Crimson Edition. As most of you probably saw last week, AMD launched the Crimson ReLive driver and we are pleased to let you know that we will again be hosting a live stream with our friends at AMD! Come learn about the development of this new driver, how the new features work and insight on what might be coming in the future from AMD's software team.
And what's a live stream without prizes? AMD has stepped up to the plate to offer up some awesome hardware for those of you that tune in to watch the live stream!

Need a reminder? Join our live mailing list!
The event will take place Tuesday, December 13th at 10am PT / 1pm ET at https://www.pcper.com/live. There you’ll be able to catch the live video stream as well as use our chat room to interact with the audience. To win the prizes you will have to be watching the live stream, with exact details of the methodology for handing out the goods coming at the time of the event.
I will be joined by Liam Gallagher, Radeon Software Marketing Manager and Jeff Engel, Radeon Software Lead QA Manager. In short, these are two people you want to hear from and have answer your questions! (Apparently Terry Makedon will be hiding in the background as well…)
If you have questions, please leave them in the comments below and we'll look through them just before the start of the live stream. Of course you'll be able to tweet us questions @pcper and we'll be keeping an eye on the IRC chat as well for more inquiries. What do you want to know and hear from AMD?
So join us! Set your calendar for Tuesday at 10am PT / 1pm ET and be here at PC Perspective to catch it. If you are a forgetful type of person, sign up for the PC Perspective Live mailing list that we use exclusively to notify users of upcoming live streaming events including these types of specials and our regular live podcast. I promise, no spam will be had!
I will surely be joining.

Congrats on getting support
Congrats on getting support for GCN 1.0 graphics cards into the official Linux kernel AMDGPU driver. What are your thoughts of the future of the AMDGPU driver? Do you consider it an advantage over nVidia to have Linux kernel mainline support?
Will older Radeon GPUs
Will older Radeon GPUs benefit from ReLive video recording compared to other software capture programs e.g. OBS or even Raptr?

Kidding aside, these linguistic inspectors are officially considered above the law in quebec, just don’t mess with them.

Msi afterburner currently does not function properly with this new driver forcing some people to roll back to the previous driver, when can we expect a fix?

I’m using Sapphire TRIXX to overclock my RX480 @1410mhz with this driver. No problems so far and these drivers are working great for all my games I play.
The ReLive software seems good to but haven’t play with it much yet.
I can’t talk for other cards but my RX480 is running great.
Thanks AMD.

Chicken or egg question – is the hardware created for the software or is the software written for the hardware?
That isn’t the same scenario,
That isn’t the same scenario, neither comes from or makes the other. The chicken makes the egg but comes form the egg. The hardware doesn’t make the software and the hardware doesn’t come from the software. In this case the software is written for the hardware

Are the RX480’s that look like this forum posts picture still available? I picked up my RX480 “Founders Edition” I would call it or “Reference Edition” early when they were first released. I can only find the aftermarket type of RX480 now. I want to get a second but I want them to match perfectly.

Question: where do you see
Question: where do you see WattMan going in the future? It’s a great tool, but playing around with it also shows how good undervolting works on most AMD cards. I’m sure there is a precise binning process going on, but with so many cards actually being able to run much more efficiently with a few tweaks, could WattMan perhaps be run automatically to optimize voltages in the future?
Not sure about Wattman, but
Not sure about Wattman, but my GTX1080 has the same basic feature in EVGA Precision and it can AUTOMATICALLY setup an optimized profile.
My tool runs the GPU at each frequency point while adjusting the voltage to find the MINIMUM voltage point that works (thus less heat, and thus less potential to thermal throttle).
Unfortunately it’s not perfect and my system FROZE in at least one game so I had to back off on that.
If WATTMAN doesn’t do this already it most likely can. I do know they even mentioned this EXACT things a few months ago (it wasn’t available then) so it looks like AMD or at least game developers will implement it (may already be a thing from EVGA and others since again Precision did basically the same thing for NVidia).
Why does the Wattman
Why does the Wattman histogram scroll from right to left. This is very counter intuitive and also results in the popup box being hidden off screen at the beginning of the graph when in fullscreen mode. Are there any plans to change this?
What is the relationship
What is the relationship between FRTC and Chill and why do we need both at this point? Are they not effectively doing the same thing for the most part?
