Coloured LEDs are continuing to spread throughout PC components, the latest being the Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 750W Modular PSU which can glow in 256 different colours. The LEDs are not the only thing which has been added to the newest member of the Grand family, indeed [H]ard|OCP found significant improvements in this PSU's DC output quality when compared to previous three Grand models they have tested. Even if you will never use the LEDs this is a PSU worthy of your consideration, from the 10 year warranty and proper 80 Plus Gold rating right through to the pricing of $100.
"Thermaltake over the years has built some extremely good computer power supply units and along with that, it has also charged a premium for those which sometimes put it at a severe disadvantage in the value department. That changes today, in a very good way. It has flashy spinny LEDs, which you can turn off easily. And a 10 year warranty."

It’s already looking like a 1970s disco inside some cases now with all that disease spreading across the entire PC market. What is it about total morons and flashing lights and all that flash trash! Deh, looks at alls my shiny blings ain’t I’s sompthens, hu hu hu!

I just want my hardware to
I just want my hardware to perform and I do not care what it looks like! All this fleshing light crap is just a waste of effort to sale more crap to the morons out there!
The industry would be better off working on improving its build quality and stop trying to pawn off this crap on consumers. Those bling fanatics out there would be better off buying jewelry if they want some bling value that serves no functional purpose! Really lights on the inside of a what is essentially a box. I’m Only concerned with what performance appears at the computer’s display for games and overall CPU/GPU/storage/OS hardware performance and not on having the case on display with a sickening amount of totally unnecessary lighting. All That lighting is not going to make the games/rendering run any better so what good is that excessive amount of lighting good for other than to waste more power.

I have some old computers in my garage, negeliced pieces waiting for the recycle bin. I think I’m gonna save those beige boxes and make my next rig in a classic body. No flash, no excess, no plexiglass windows. Just the classic lines of a long ago home computer era.
