T'is the season to build up a list of all the products you covered at CES and see if there are any you missed. Many tech sites are in the process of clearing out, for instance The Tech Report have conglomerated all of their CES observations right here. They hit few more laptop booths, including Razer's triple monitor display which someone later walked off with, along with Samsung, Toshiba, Dell and numerous others. They never did succeed in their search for a Freesync 2 monitor, nor did anyone else for that matter, nor could they escape the taste of the rainbow coming off of every peripheral and motherboard. Sadly, they also missed the brush.

It sounds like FreeSync 2 is basically the Game Mode offered up by HDMI 2.1. A mode that bypasses the internal SoC of a given display. I’m glad to see a vendor-agnostic VRR tech finally surface. I hope sites like this put pressure on Nvidia and AMD to embrace it.
