The first images of a mini-ITX AM4 motherboard are here, courtesy of BIOSTAR (via ComputerBase). Part of their second-generation RACING-series of gaming motherboards, BIOSTAR is now the first company to show an AMD Ryzen-capable mini-ITX option with their X370GTN.

There had been mention of an upcoming mITX board for AMD Ryzen CPUs from BIOSTAR, with a (rather low-key) mention of such a product in a recent company press release (“the exciting new RACING X370GTN in the mini-ITX form factor will also be available”), and these images from the company's RACING event are now circulating along with the specs of two different mITX offerings.

There will in fact be two mini-ITX motherboards, with both X370 (shown) and the lower-end B350 chipsets (with the RACING B350GTN). ComputerBase provided slides with specifications (via Zolkorn, Thai language) who covered the BIOSTAR event:

BIOSTAR has not announced availability or pricing of their mini-ITX Ryzen boards yet, but given the pent-up demand for mini-ITX solutions for enthusiast AMD processors (with AM3 conspicuously absent from mITX), this is great news for small form-factor enthusiasts.

I don’t think there is
I don't think there is anything stopping a motherboard manufacturer from using B350 on a Mini-ITX board, but yeah X300 and A300/320 are aimed at the SFF boards. We will probably only see X300/A300/A320 on the small form factor boards since they have less I/O but the bigger chipsets can go down to SFF market.
That’s X300, no?

Erh, no. The A320 is mostly found in mATX boards. I do not know of a single X300 board, in whatever format.

Nice! Might have been better
Nice! Might have been better to stack the SATA ports at 90-degrees on the side but I guess they didn't want to make the mobo too tall.
It might have been a design
It might have been a design decision to prevent any interference issues with tiny itx case designs.

I actually like the look of the white socket. I want a company to go back to the green PCB too and call it a throwback. Watch it fly off the shelves when you don’t have to charge for all the extra paint and decals and just give customers features they can use when the lid is on their computer 99% of the time.
I dont think OEMs are allowed
I dont think OEMs are allowed to, I’m pretty sure white is to signify a first gen socket, and black sockets are for the second gen or + sockets, i.e AM3 was white and AM3+ was black.
but i could very easily be wrong, so there is that.
You won’t see the slot after

Even if the AM4 APU’s will be a bit more powerful than RX460, it won’t be able to push high frame rates.

Been waiting for this to build killer Ryzen sff’s for family and friends. First time building AMD rigs since the Intel Core architecture was introduced, which has been awesome. Before that, for many years, all my rigs were powered by AMD.

When 2nd gen ryzen comes out I look forward to this, currently using a ASRock mitx x99 board. glad to see other companies realizing that there is a market for this.
Glad to see the boards
Glad to see the boards starting to come, but sadly still waiting on the APU’s. Shouldn’t be too much longer though.

if those where available now,
if those where available now, I would have picked this over an ATX board. (matx seem to be no real gain over case size)
After much reading:
– Windows10 sheduler wreak avok on Ryzen core setup
(it move thread ACROSS core complex, causing masive drop in performance.. the cache coherency get totally trashed)
A fix is coming. (will affect mainly games)
– Bios dont seem fully developed. mainly better ram speed expected
– The 2 core communicate at 1/2 the DDR4 speed , so ram speed is important for the overall chip communication.
– Ryzen sweet spot : 3.9ghz . above that it gets crazy stupid.
– Ryzen is still getting microcode updates. (features)
XFR for example might be enabled under overclocked settings.
Ryzen fastest / most efficient clock seem to be 3.3ghz. lowest TDP for the performance.
I dont think cinebench result will improve much , if at all.
But gaming under windows10 could see a 15% + boost after the sheduler tweak alone.
(the issue with games is not just SMT being goofy on w10)
Thanks for the informative
Thanks for the informative post. I’m looking forward to seeing game results once the Windows issue gets fixed.
Why wait? Are you going to be
Why wait? Are you going to be running a gtx 1080 and playing at 1080p? I doubt it will matter at all, even before any fixes, which will come soon enough, if you are running a 480. This whole bruhaha over one issue, 1080p gaming when you are running a graphics card meant for 1440p or 4k, is only an issue if you try to squeeze it into one. Good luck whatever you choose to do.
I’m not in the market for
I’m not in the market for Ryzen. It’s just academic curiosity and a general desire to see AMD succeed. The ‘good enough’ argument is fine for hardcore AMD fans, but not very convincing to the general public.

As fast and sometimes faster than a 6900 is good enough? I would say for the price, it is fucking awesome.
