HP's Spectre x2 ships with the keyboard and pen, unlike the competition who only sell you the tablet and charge extra for the two best features of a convertible tablet. The prices are also more competitive, ranging from the $1150 base model with a Core i5-7260U, 8GB DDR3 and a 128GB PCIe SSD to the $1970 top of the line model with a Core i7-7560U, 16GB DDR3 and a 1TB PCIe SSD. The IPS touchscreen is 12.3" with a 3000 x 2000 resolution which translates to 293ppi and though the bezel is thinner than previous models it is still quite large. Ars Technica examines the Spectre x2's performance and aesthetics right here.
"HP's updated Spectre x2 fine-tunes the original device's design while giving the internals a power boost from Core M to Core i5/i7 for better productivity. The Spectre x2 is also more affordable than the Surface Pro and includes its keyboard and pen in the box rather than forcing customers to pay extra for them."

As an artist, a Surface was practically life changing. This Half baked HP knock off isn’t as well build or as good for creative work. This is not even close in quality. I would take and m3 surface pro (which costs less than the base model and runs AI and PS) over the top spec spectre any day. You pay just as much as any premium thin and light and less than a Mac Book

The 2017 MS Surface Pro is gobs of glue and the lowest repairability 1 out of 10 from iFixit, and even iFixit could not put Humpty back together again.

They are expensive, but you
They are expensive, but you get what you pay for. There is a reason many professionals use Surface products. People don’t buy laptops/tablets based on specs as much as they do usability and reliability. I’ve never owned a computer from another brand that is more reliable than my Surface devices. To me, and many others, they are worth the price of admission.
Another huge difference is the ability (for people that live in large cities) to walk into a Microsoft store and get free tech support. I have had nothing but good experiences with them. They have fixed every issue I’ve had, even replaced broken hardware for free outside of warranty. That level of same-day support is not available outside Microsoft or Apple devices.

PC Perspective may want to post again about their HumbleBundle partner link. They have a pretty good bundle for the next couple of weeks, “Humble Capcom Rising Bundle”, with the Resident Evil remake, RE0, two of the Dead Rising games etc.
I have it saved in my bookmarks as (and it still seems to work);
