Over at TechARP is a compilation of all the information which has leaked out about NVIDIA's upcoming GTX 1070 Ti. Perhaps the two most important pieces of data were the scheduled launch date of October 26th and the MSRP of $429; though considering the current state of the GPU market supplies will dry up and the price shoot up very quickly. The card is closer to a GTX 1080, sporting the same base frequency but a boost clock of 1683 MHz which is 50MHz less than a stock GTX 1080. The card will have fewer CUDA cores, a total of 2432 along with 64 ROPs. The 8GB of memory will provide 256 GB/s of memory bandwidth, somewhat short of the 320 GB/s a GTX 1080 offers. Pop by TechARP for more leaked details.
"As mentioned above, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti is expected to have a launch price of US$ 429. Of course, the actual street prices will be somewhat higher, and there will be different overclocked versions offered at higher prices."

Got it, thanks.
Got it, thanks.
So it’s close to the 1080 in
So it’s close to the 1080 in terms of CUDA cores, Clock Speeds, Texture and Pixel Fill Rate, while Maintaining the 8GB of GDDR5 Memory and maintaining the same Memory Bandwidth as the GTX 1070.
Again, It’s obvious to what NVIDIA intends to do with the GTX 1070 ti: Bury AMD’s RX VEGA line.
With VEGA 56 and 64 at the current prices they’re at ($500 for 56, $600-800 for 64 [$600-700 for Air, $700+ for Liquid]), NVIDIA is essentially going for what they perceive as a “Killing Blow” to AMD’s High-End GPU Line.
If Prices don’t drop for AMD’s Vega 56 Lineup, Expect the GPU share for NVIDIA to Increase yet again.
Apparently MSI just leaked
Apparently MSI just leaked confirmation about the 1070ti via an update to their AfterBurner app:

I’m still waiting for Volta.
I’m still waiting for Volta. The only way I might be interested in 1070ti is if I can get a custom version for less than $350. Hardware refreshes are cheaper to manufacture and therefore should have a lower retail price.
That’s not how Capitalism
That’s not how Capitalism works. They charge whatever the market price is. Which is, whatever they want vs whatever they can sell it for.
This is a logical result of
This is a logical result of binning and marketing, Nvidia’s Pascal 1070ti was expected as the binned Pascal GPUs didn’t meet 1080 specs but were higher than 1070 specs.
Looking forward to a new Performance Per Watt Champion Pascal choice 1070ti and making it much more difficult for watt wasting, very late Vega to gain market traction.
If the prices are right,
If the prices are right, which I doubt they will be…I may consider swapping my single 1080 G1 for a pair of these 1070 Ti cards.I look for prices to be around $475 or more after launch. If thats the case and after dealing with many other new and some not so new GPU launches before this one, I’d just be better off to buy a second 1080 G1 and be done with it. Tbh, I’m probably better off to just go ahead and do just that anyway.
This still makes absolutely
This still makes absolutely zero sense unless the 1070 is being discontinued.
This.
This.
You’d be surprised at just
You’d be surprised at just how many people will see the letters “Ti” and gobble it up and not bother wiping it off their collective chins
I was actually in the market
I was actually in the market to purchase a 1070, until the TI was announced. I don’t know where anyone is finding all these 1070’s for cheaper than $430, but if that’s going to be the msrp of a TI anyway, why not wait to get one at launch?
I was looking into picking up
I was looking into picking up a reference 1070 at $399 but at this point I’ll wait and see if Nvidia puts out a reference 1070Ti at the suggested $429.
More than enough card for what I need even if I upgrade to a 34″ widescreen in the future.
