Specifications and Packaging
The Platimax DF 850W power supply is rated for a combined, continuous output power of up to 850 watts at 50°C operating temperature. The PSU incorporates four +12V rails that can deliver up to 840 (70A) spread across the 12V outputs. The PSU includes universal AC line input (automatically adjusts to the AC line voltage between 100 and 240 VAC) and active PFC, which makes the unit more environmentally friendly to the local power grid.

Packaging and Parts
The Platimax DF 850W power supply arrived packed inside a shrink-wrapped retail box showcasing the unit’s features and specifications.
The power supply is protected by thick foam inserts and wrapped in a black fabric bag. All the cables and accessories are inside the red box.
In addition to the power supply, the box contains a power cord, retention clip, mounting screws, a User Manual, wire ties, cables ties, two bags of socket covers, and a bundle of modular cables.

The Platimax DF 850W power supply comes with a good assortment of all modular cables. (See table above for connector count and cable lengths.)
Note the power cord can be held in place with the included retention clip to keep it from accidentally being pulled out. We were a bit disappointed to see the power cord was only 18AWG wire, which seems a little light for an 850W PSU.
