Those with poor impulse control who still pre-order games will now be getting access to Fallout 76's beta, assuming the entire 47GB pre-loaded download did not self destruct on them. Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN gave it a twirl, though with only a few people able to access the game it doesn't really represent what the final launch will look like. Even so, expect to find yourself in a small crowd of people all performing the same initial tasks to solve the initial tasks, some with rather interesting handles. On the plus side, the game itself looks quite pretty from the screenshots.
"That sea of autumnal trees and distant storm clouds are lovely. Having winced at the wonky footage of the Xbox One beta last week I’m genuinely surprised at how pretty West Virginia is. Well, the bits of it that aren’t CocktimusPrime."

$60 for a game that uses an engine that was released in 2011? This is just multiplayer Fallout 4.
I came here to make the same
I came here to make the same comment. FO4 was saved only due to its physically-based rendering and new lighting effects, but remnants of its Gamebryo base hold it back. They really need to up their game (engine). Games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Odyssey really show how far behind F76 is, graphically.
I can’t fault them for their support of user mods though. The antiquated engines do allow for a high degree of flexibility from users. But the same can be said for GTAV, which looks far better unmodded or modded.

Here is a great example of just how bad this game is in both performance and gameplay:

I was surprised just how bad it is, I mean, I can play a game with old graphics as long as the performance and gameplay is good. But this game is just shit, and I do mean shitty, in all areas.
I get it, it is a Beta, but today is Nov1 and I’d EXTREMELY surprised if any of the issues are fixed at all before Nov 14.
Looks like about what I
Looks like about what I expected, which is to say something I am not interested in.
