Game Testing – Far Cry 5, Wolfenstein II, Ashes of the Singularity

In our first game test, Far Cry 5, we see gains of 9% for the RX 590 over the RX 580, while essentially performing identically to the GTX 1060 6GB.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Wolfenstein II on the Mein Leben preset shows some massive issues for the 3GB of VRAM on the GTX 1060, with the RX 590 providing a 255% performance increase. 

Comparing the RX 590 to the GTX 1060 6GB and RX 580, we see substantial gains of 10-12%.

Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation (DX12)

Maintaining a similar 9% margin over the RX 580 as we've seen across the board so far, the RX 590 falls 4% short in average FPS when compared to the GTX 1060 6GB in Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation.
