For hardware enthusiasts, it’s no surprise at this point that the current tumultuous state of the global economy is having an effect on PC component prices, and the latest company forced to make a change is Seasonic. The company announced this month that, due to “recent market developments,” MSRPs across its product lineup will increase starting December 1st.

The price increases vary depending on the power supply series and model, and range from about 5 to 12 percent. Vincent Chang, the company’s Chairman and CEO, noted the importance of transparency with consumers and partners regarding the dynamic economic conditions in a statement announcing the price changes.

You’ll find the company's statement and complete list of Seasonic models affected by the new pricing below, and check out the Seasonic product site for more details on specific models.

Effective 01 December 2018, Sea Sonic USA is to increase the MSRP for all power supplies manufactured in China and destined for the US market. This is the result of recent market developments, but all orders placed prior to this date shall follow current pricing.

Sea Sonic strives to be transparent and forthright with its partners and consumers. We thank you in advance for your understanding as our priority is to continue providing cost-effective solutions to all our customers. The situation is dynamic and necessary adjustments will be made accordingly.

We greatly appreciate your support and look forward to continuing our partnership well into the future. If you have any questions, please contact your Sea Sonic representative or visit our website at www.seasonic.com.
