As we learned on launch day, not every GTX 1650 is the same, as some sport a power connector while others prefer to go it alone. TechSpot decided to do the obvious and test a Gigabyte GTX 1650 GAMING OC with that 6-pin PCIe power connector, against the Gigabyte GTX 1650 OC which does not have an external power connector, as well as the RX 570 and a GTX 1050 Ti.

The performance difference is not enormous, but it is there and is exacerbated when they overclocked the two cards; the memory clocks are similar but the GPU clocks certainly are not.  Check their full review of the two Gigabyte GTX 1650’s to see what happens when you you put a couple more volts through it!

Last week we checked out the new GeForce GTX 1650 for the first time and we were disappointed that it was no rival for AMD's RX 570. We've since tested the 75-watt model lacking an external PCI Express power connector and have to admit we're pleasantly surprised.
