Edifier’s G4 Pro; Virtual 7.1 On The Go

Your Friends Will Hear Magic Voices In Their Heads

It has been a while since Edifier have graced the front page, since back when Sebastian reviewed their Pure Sound H840 Hi-Fi Monitor headphones in 2016.   The MSRP of the Edifier G4 Pro is a bit higher than that model at ~$70 and so The Guru of 3D set out to determine why.  Inside the headphones is the CM6533 X1 which provides virtual 7.1 surround sound without the need for a sound card, a good feature for those using it with a mobile device though you can use the Edifier Software for greater control of your sounds and lights.  The brass button is a retractable omnidirectional microphone and the RGBs are hidden in a ring around the grill showing on the outside of the earcups.

It picked up a Guru 3D Great Value Award, so check out the link to the review if you happen to be shopping for an inexpensive headset.

The G4 PRO offers gamers a high-quality headset solution without too much compromise in terms of comfort, audio, or mic quality. At 69 USD, Edifier has delivered a very nice product.
