See The New SMACH Z At E3

Portable PC Gaming
The SteamBoy, now named the Smach Z for reasons, will be making an appearance at E3 and if you are there in person you even have a chance to win one. The portable gaming console is powered by AMD’s embedded V1605B APU which sports 4 cores and 8 threads with a base clock of 2.0, and capable of hitting 3.6 GHz paired with up to 16GB of RAM. It has a Vega8 GPU onboard with 512 shaders and up to a 1.1 GHz core clock, so even demanding games should play well on it.

We have seen it play the Witcher 3 with an average of 40 FPS at 720p resolution, the 6″ touchscreen itself is capable of 1920×1080 on less demanding games. Thanks to the hardware, you can install Windows or Linux on the handheld and are not limited in your choice of games. You can connect to your Steam, GoG, Origin or any other account to install games on the SSD, 64GB or 128GB depending on the Smach Z model you choose.
The Kickstarter page is a little out of date as there have been quite a few changes since it was announced and funded, but does offer you more information on the Smach Z and Smach Z Pro.
